The Parents of Noah

Noah’s Early Years

Noah moved north to Canada in 1861 with his parents. He learned the trades of masonry and brick laying1.

Noah and Susan

Susan was the daughter of William and Rachel [Rich] Murphy and was born on September 17, 1860.

Noah and Susan moved, along with their four children on September 15, 1891 to Michigan. There they lived until 1899. Then, on November 24th, the family returned to Canada to purchase a 38-acre farm facing the beautiful Snye Carte River in Chatham Gore, Kent county, Ontario1.

The Final Years for Noah

Noah died on December 10, 1926. Susan followed him 13 years later, on December 4, 19391.
