The Parents of Sarah
Rebecca's parents fled the upheaval in Connecticut following the American Revolution. Her father sought refuge with other Tory stalwarts in the still-British colonies of New Brunswick and then to Nova Scotia. Her mother was from Long Island in New York state.

Little is known of Sarah as a young woman.
Sarah and Thomas
Thomas Dodge was born in 1784, son of Asahel Dodge and Ann Walker. He married Sarah on February 18, 1808 in the town of Aylesford. Thomas died October 14, 1847 in Aylesford. He was 63.

Little is known of the final years for Sarah and Thomas.
