• George; on 17 June 1908 married his niece, Kathleen Benedict, the daughter of Jacob Alexander and Sarah Jane [Millen] Benedict.

George did not marry his niece. He, at most, married a cousin. He married Jessie Catherine Benedict, daughter of his Jacob Alexander Benedict, son of William J. Benedict (born 1813, not 1858). Nor was Sarah Jane Benedict the sister of Margaret Matilda Millen. Jessie Benedict died less than two years after her marriage at the age of 19 of tuberculosis.
