Sarah's Obituary

"MRS. A.R. CROW GOES TO REST

Had Been Suffering from Lengthy Illness.

Death came as a happy release to Mrs. Sarah E. Crow, when she passed away early Friday evening at her home, 25 Emma street, following a lengthy illness. Six years ago the late Mrs. Crow suffered a stroke and since that time had been practically an invalid. However she had not been confined to her bed until three weeks ago when she became seriously ill and after a period of quiet suffering passed peacefully away shortly after six o'clock last evening.

Deceased was born October 30, 1862, near Pardoville on the Lake Shore Road where she resided until her marriage 47 years ago to Angus R. Corw who predeceased her in 1923. For a short time they lived in Raleigh Townshiip and then moved to this city. The late Mrs. Crow was of a quiet home loving disposition and it was in her home she found her greatest pleasure. As long as she was able she had been a faithful attendant of Victoria Avenue United church and in her quiet way was a valued help in the church. Throughout her many years of residence in this city Mrs. Crow had won many friends by whom she will be sadly missed.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Annie Groves of Riverside, Mrs. Bertha Cooper, this city and Mrs. Louise Morrison of Marikuppam South India; three sons, Alvin R. and George R. of this city and Lewis P. Crow of Walkerville, also a sister Mrs. Annie Hyatt and four brothers, Thomas, Charles, Owen and James Pardo, all of the Lake Shore Road, Pardoville.

Private funeral services will be held from her late residence 25 Emma St. on Monday, April 29, at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. A.W. Shepherd of Victoria Avenue United church. Interment will be made in the family plot, Maple Leaf cemetery."
