The Parents of William
William Henry Pardo was a third-generation farmer in Raleigh township; his grandfather John Pardo being an early pioneer from the British army and his father purchasing and clearing land, eventually having 1,575 acres. Thomas' mother Rachel Hughson was born in New York State of a United Empire Loyalist family and arrived in Ontario near the start of the war of 1812. Together his parents built a log house near Lake Erie and raised ten children.

Saphronia Annie Pardo
Married Napoleon Hisst, who came from Kentucky. It is said that she was widowed very young and believed to have no children. (Decendants of John Pardo of Kent, pg. 297)
William H. Pardo II
William married Alice Trewin about 1898 in Ontario. Alice was born 11 Sep 1874, Ontario, Canada and she died in 1945. They had two children. Verna Laura Pardo and Alta Grace Pardo.
