b. about 1707; m. May 21, 1729, Mabel Noble, at New Milford, Ct. He d. Sept. 28, 1781. He was one of the sufferers by the burning of Danbury by the British troops under Gen. Tryon, April 27, 1777; and his heirs were allowed, May, 1792, by the state of Connecticut, œ205 4s. 8d., for damage done to his property. Distribution of his estate took place March 27, 1782. No widow mentioned. Heirs of son Matthew, deceased, received œ317 4s. 4d.; Noble, Zadock, heirs of Thankful, wife of John Hopkins, deceased, Jonah and Abijah, each received œ158 12s. 4d.; total, œ1164 12s. 10d. (Prob. Rec., Danbury, Ct., vol. IV, p. 235.) Ch.
