He was alderman of Schenectady for some years; Deacon of Presbyterian church in Schenectady; also elected Deacon of Second Presbyterian church of Cleveland, Ohio, and elder of the same church in 1863, which office he now holds. He moved from Danbury, Ct., to Schenectady, in 1816, and in 1846 to Cleveland, Ohio, where he conducts a hat, cap, fur, and wool business. Ch.
