The Parents of Thomas
His father Thomas was fifth justice of the peace, appointed May 1738, and first Judge of the district, and held both offices until his death. Member of the CT legislature for 31 sessions, between May1737 and Oct1766, inclusive. He was chosen Deacon 19Sep1770. His mother Abigail Hoyt was the dau of John Hoyt b 13Jul1644, Windsor, CT, one of the original settlers of Danbury, CT and Mary Barnes. Per Benedict Review, her name was Hannah Barnes

The Final Years for Thomas
Thomas died on Nov. 14, 1821 and his will was proved seven days later.%CITE{1001}% His wife Mercy preceded him by ten years.

b. Nov. 9, 1694; m. Abigail, dau. John Hoyt, one of the original settlers of Danbury, Ct. He was fifth justice of the peace, appointed May, 1738, and first judge of the district, and held both offices until his death. He was a member of the Connecticut legislature for thirty-one sessions between May, 1737, and Oct., 1766, inclusive. He was chosen Deacon, Sept. 19, 1770. He d. July 4, 1776. Ch.
