The Parents of Albert
Albert’s Early Years

Albert was lovingly known as Uncle Spike and well named at that! He was somewhere in the area of 6 foot 6 inches tall and skinney as a bean pole. In his early years, about the age of Ten or Twelve, he was riding his bike down the street of Woodstock, when suddenly a car door opened and he rode right into it smashing his right arm, totaling his bicycle, and leaving him with other cuts and bruises. His arm never did mend properly leaving it quite useless. Anyway he made his living through life as the one armed paper hanger. (He was also known to some as uncle Ab).
The Final Years for Albert
Spike never married. He lived out in Ruthilda Saskachewan for sometime probably with his sister Jessie. He returned to Woodstock only to die in an auto accident on July 27, 1942
