Stella Winnifred Rivers was born 5 Dec. 1891, at Tacoma, Washington. Stella's Father was Peter Rivers, born Abt. 1861, at Tacoma, Washington. Stella's Mother was Winnifred Jones, born 1865, at Tacoma, Washington.

Rupert and Stella married, 30 Aug 1905, at Port Arthur, Thunder Bay, District, Ontario. As of 19 Dec 1915, Rupert and Stella and Children, born, at that time were living at 22 Royal Ave., New Westminster, British Columbia. This information comes from Rupert's 131st Overseas Battalion, Attestation Paper for Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force. As of 1973 Stella has applied and received her SSN # 531-66-5592 issued: in Washington, USA. Whether Rupert is with her at this time or has died, is not known.

Rupert and Stella parted after 3rd child was born. Last heard of Rupert was living in California. Stella and Rupert parted after their 3rd child Winnifred was born. Stella then remarried to Patrick Cassidy. Rupert had nothing more to do with the children so none of them know what happened to him. George tried to find him but had no luck. TAKEN FROM, The Kelowna Daily Courier, January 15, 1978 CASSIDY --- Mrs. Stella W. Cassidy of Kelowna, B. C. passed away on January 13, 1978 at the the age of 91 years. She was predeseased by her loving husband Patrick cassidy, and is now survived by one son, Mr. George Benedict of Armstrong, B. C.Funeral services will be held from the Garden Chapel on Monday, January 16th at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Father P. J. McCarthy officiating.
