William and Jean
There is no recorded information on William Craighead and Jean Black other than the Old Parochial Registers. He was probably a tenant farmer struggling to exist.
William and Jean were the common great grandparents of William Craighead (b. 1821)and his wife Elizabeth Craighead (b. 1823), the couple who emigrated to Canada and were married at the Burnbrae Presbytarian Church in Seymour Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario, on 21 Dec 1844 .
