Charles Carver

Charles Carver was apparently born July 19, 1781, in Norwalk, Conn., the son of Melzar Carver and Pheobe Wicks. He first appears on the census in Delaware Co., N.Y. in 1820. In 1844, he deeded land to John Bourne and William Stilson. He must have died sometime between then and 1850, for he is not listed on the 1850 census.

Sources

The death certificate of Charlotte Buell lists Sally Carver as her mother.

The Genealogy of the Benedict Family, p. 95. lists Sally Carver, daughter of Enoch, and states she "m. Charles Carver, res. Delaware Co., and in Iowa." Other sources indicated that Henry and Alta Carver, as well as a son of Charles and Charlotte Buell, lived in Charles City, Iowa.
