Came from the east coast in 1852 on the Brig Dudley to Calif mining area
he then moved up north to Idaho, in the early 1860 was in florence Idaho
where he met Isabella Kelly and married her on Feb 9 1863. Can find records that Samual had part ownership in some mines, and owned a saloon would assum he also
did blacksmith work too. after he marred isabella
they moved to Lewiston Idaho and had a blcksmith shop there, 1st child was born there, [my grandmother Caddie] They then moved to the mouth of whitebird Creek where he had a blacksmith shop,a boarding house and a small store, large garden and some livestock
In June of 1877 the 2 oldest children were in Grangeville area going to school
there was an Indian up rising and Samual was killed he did keep the indian
