---+++_Anne’s Life_
Anne was the only member of George Craighead and Elspet Cooper's family to remain in Scotland. This fact is recorded in the obituary of a brother, William Craighead, in the Campbellford Herald newspaper dated 13 Oct 1917. A story is passed down that Anne had boarded the ship with her family in Peterhead to sail for Canada but on seeing her boy friend on the dock, she left the ship stating that she was staying in Scotland. She married Gilbert Heron and they lived in the Parish of Cruden in Aberdeenshire for the rest of their lives.
