There is no recorded information on George Craighead and his life other than the Old Parochial Registers.  He was probably a tenant farmer struggling to exist.

The earliest Registers include six other Craighead's that were of similiar age to George living in the Parish of Cruden and could well be brothers and sisters. These are:

Alexander Craighead married Elspet Smith on 30 Nov 1734 and had children: Alexander 1728, Robert 1735, and Isabel 1737.

Thomas Craighead married Elspet Boyes on 05 Aug 1709 and had children: William 1711, Barbara 1713, James 1714, and Alexander 1716.

Janet Craighead married William Gibson on 19 Sep 1710.

Agnes Craighead married Alexander Simpson on 28 Jun 1711.

Margaret Craighead married George Black on 19 Aug 1714.
Elspet Craighead married George Jack on 14 Jun 1716.
