The Final Years for Caleb
FAMILY RE-UNION
A very enjoyable time was spent at the home of Mr. Caleb Benedict, Wallaceburg, last Sunday, when the children of Mr. Joseph Booker, father of Mrs. Benedict, gathered together for the first time in sixteen years. The family re-union consisted of two sons and three daughters: Mrs. C. Benedict, Mrs. Austin Current of Wallaceburg, and Miss Sylvia Booker of Detroit; Will Booker of Wallaceburg, and Clinton Booker of Detroit; also the latters' husbands and wives, and the grandchildren, also other friends and relatives from out of town.

FORMER RESIDENT DIES
There passed away, in Chatham general hospital on July 1st, Caleb M. Benedict, aged 80 years. Mr. Benedict has been in ill health for some time and was hospitalized for many months. The funeral service was held Thursday, July 3rd from the Locke Funeral Home in Ridgetown, with Rev. Guenther in charge. Interment was in Duart
Cemetery.
Mr. Benedict was the last surviving member of the family of the late Smedley Benedict and Harriet Dusten of the East Branch. For many years he resided in Wallaceburg where he was employed by the Dominion Sugar Co.
Thirty-eight years ago he moved to Ridgetown where he resided until his death. He is survived by two daughters and one son, Mrs. Riley Judson (Emma) Wallaceburg, Mrs. Wm. Burge (Leonne) Detroit, and Joseph of Pontiac. Those from Wal... [rest missing in image]
