January 5, 1921,  Wiarton Echo; - - BONESTEEL: died January 3rd as a result of a shooting accident in Amabel, William Bonesteel in his 54th year. Was out shooting on December 6 & shreds of cloth got into the wound & caused infection. Born Chesley, came to Wiarton when 10 years old. Was married 23 years ago & those who survive are his wife (Margaret Clemens), his mother, 2 daughters, Mrs W. Ferguson and miss Ruby, 2 sons Percy and Verdun, all of Wiarton and 1 brother George of Southampton.

February 21, 1917 issue Wiarton Echo: Died BONESTEEL Mrs. George Bonesteel (Caroline Davis) died "Feb ?? 1917" in Detroit. Buried Wiarton. Attending Funeral were Capt. F. J. Davis, Port !McNicol, Norman Davis, Saskatchewan, R. Sadler and wife and Mrs. Davis of Detroit.

He died 4 years ago. Leaves son, George of Southampton & 2 daughters. Mary Evelyn, Mrs. Geo. Hendry of Hepworth & Mrs Luella Miller of Chesley, Buried Bayview Cemetery.

August 25, 1920, Wiarton Echo; - - Died:  August 22, 1920 BONESTEEL  William Bonesteel on Sunday in his 76th year. born St. Vincent Township, married Catherine Benedict some 55 years ago. Lived Chesley then Wiarton. Leaves Wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. G. Hendry of Hepworth, Mrs. A. Miller of Wiarton and George Bonesteel of Southampton.
