---+++_Life of Ellen Eliza Benedict_

Ellen Eliza Benedict (Lillie) was born June 21, 1868, in Norwalk, Ohio where she grew up with her four sisters and brother Fred. She was educated in the Norwalk Public Schools, but did not go to college. On August 9, 1892, she married Louis Wildman Wickham, nephew of her brother-in-law Frank Wickham, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Norwalk.

Lillie and Louis had four children, Cora, Suzan, Fred and Anne Belle. In 1920, they moved to Cleveland OH. In her later years, Lillie apparently became concerned that she was developing Alzheimer’s like her mother and older sisters. On June 1, 1942 she took her own life at the family cottage in Mitiwanga, Ohio. [1]
