Buried Wooster Street Cemetery, Danbury, Fairfield County, CT. 
Her headstone is very clear, the name on it is Dorcas Vail. The surrounding headstones are not readable.

1803- Samuel H. Phillips lived opposite the Danbury Savings Bank, and died there. *George Benedict was a son of Eliakim, and lived and died in Danbury*

1803.— Samuel H. Phillips, _George Benedict,_ David A Wood, William Babcock, Ezra Wildman, Ebenezer and John D. Nichols, Boughton & Starr, and others carried on hatting in different parts of the township. The fashionable hat of this year was six inches deep and two-inch brim. 

1805. — Clark & Benedict carried on the hatting business in the red building situated in West Street, and now occupied as a dwelling. 

Barbour Collection does list his birth, as does LDS microfilm LDS 1435525, Danbury, Fairfield County, CT.  No official record of his marriage found. No official record of his death found.  LDS 1435525, Danbury, Fairfield County, CT lists Dorcas's  birth and death information, however no Barbour Collection information found, and no spouse information found. No information of Dorcas's father, John Vail found. No information at all of who her mother may have been. Mention made, but  no records of birth of his children found. Chd: 1) Eliakim Starr-No official records of his birth or 1st/2nd marriage found. m records with Ellen F Gilmore found, stating his 2nd m, her 1st. 2) Thomas Taylor-No official record of his birth found. Barbour Collection does verify his m to Sarah Peck Griffin. No official information of his death found. 3) George Vail-LDS 1435525, b Danbury, Fairfield County, CT. No Barbour Collection verification. LDS 1435527, Danbury, Fairfield County, CT VS Records verified his death. No Barbour Collection verification on his death.
