Pearl Gladys Benedict married Lorenzo Fulford 19 Dec 1917. Lorenzo was born 1890 in Silcote, Sydenham Twp., Grey Co., Ontario, The son of Henry Fulford and Mary "Greenfield" Fulford.
Pearl was the House Mother at The Grey Home for Boys.

Sunday, Oct 02 1955, LORENZO FULFORD FORMER SYDENHAM FARMER PASSES; --- A well known and highly respected retired Sydenham farmer, Lorenzo Fulford, died at the Owen Sound hospital on Sunday in his 65th year. Mr. Fulford had been seriously ill for two days but had been in ailing health for some time past. Mr. Fulford was born at Silcote, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Y. Fulford, Early residents of that district. He farmed there with his brother and then took over on his father's death. He remained there until displaced when the Meaford Tank Range was established seven years ago, when he moved to RR#2 Woodford, retiring five years ago. Mrs. Fulford is House Mother at the Grey Home here and Mr. Fulford had assisted with the boys while his health Permitted. Mr. Fulford was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr Fulford is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Gladys Benedict, whom he Married in 1918, one son Elgin of Woodford, Two brothers, Wilbert of Meaford and Edgar of Owen Sound, and a sister, Ethel, Mrs. Robert Carr of Owen Sound. He was predeceased by two brothers Percy and William.
LORENZO FULFORD IS BURIED HERE TUESDAY; -- The Funeral Service for the late Lorenzo Fulford, a retired farmer of Sydenham Township, who died Sunday at the General and Marine Hospital, Owen Sound, was held Tuesday afternoon from the Beckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home, Rev. S.H. Woodcock of First Baptist Church conducted the service for which the funeral home was filled to capacity. Interment was in the family plot in the Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. The pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased were James Fulford, Orville Fulford, William Carr, Frank Benedict, Ellis Benedict, Melville Carr. There were many beautiful floral tributes. Friends and relatives from out of the city were from Woodford, Tara, Balaclava and Shallow Lake. -- Burial Tuesday October 04, 1955.

OBITUARY OF PEARL GLADYS "BENEDICT" FULFORD: --- FULFORD; -- Mrs. Pearl, at the General and Marine Hospital, Owen Sound on Saturday morning May 4th 1985. The former Pearl Gladys Benedict of Owen Sound, wife of the late Lorenzo Fulford. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lutecia Schreiber of Owen Sound, two grandchildren Brian Fulford of Sarnia and Betty (Mrs. Wayne Dennis) of Tillsonburg and four great grandchildren Robert and Richard Fulford and Nicole and Ryan Dennis. Predeceased by a son Elgin, two brothers, Charles and Roy and two sisters, Violet (Mrs. Allen Stitt) and Mattie, (Mrs. James Jolley). Friends called at the Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home until Monday afternoon where a service was held at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. As an expression of sympathy donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
