He became a partner, in early life, in a mercantile house of New Orleans, engaged in the Mexican and West India trade. He was afterwards in the crockery business in New York. He is President of the Lawrence Rosendale Cement Co. of New York, and a director in the Seventh Ward National Bank, which latter position he has held for many years.
