No record of his family is found. William fought as a Patriot in the American Revolution. He married Ruth Peck, the daughter of Dr. Charles Peck of Danbury. They moved to New Milford in Litchfield County where four children were born. By the early 1790’s, William moved on to Massachusetts where the last two children were born in New Marlborough. He died in Alexander, Genesee County New York state on February 4, 1836.
