DEATH OF MRS. ARCHIE CAMPBELL
Mrs. Archie Campbell of 24 Poat St. passed away early Saturday morning last in St. Joseph's Hospitcal, Chatham, following a lengthy illness. Formerly Miss Minnie Benedict, she was born in Wallaceburg 73 years ago and was a lifelong resident of the town. In religion she was a member of First Baptist Church and she was also a charter member of the Selkirk of Baldoon Chapter I.O.D.E. Besides her husband there survive a daughter, Mrs. Donald M. Hess, and a granddaughter, Janetta Hess, both of Wallaceburg.
MRS. A. CAMPBELL BORNE TO REST
Reverent tribute was paid to the late Mrs. Archie Campbell at funeral services held yesterday afternoon at the Eric Nicholls' funeral home. Rev. John McLeod of First Baptist Church was in charge and he was assisted by Rev. James Fleming, minister of Knox Presbyterian church.
Many friends of the late Mrs. Campbell attended to pay their final tribute. During the service Mrs. Marion Cole sang "Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling", with Mrs. Mary B. Jacks as accompanies at the organ.
The honorary pallbearers were Bruce McMillan Jr., Ben Abrams, Archie Avery, George Chapman, Henry Frost Sr., and James Williams. The active pallbearers were Douglas Stewart, Riley Judson, Jack Forbes, Lindsay Hess, Ivan Young, and R. J. Watts.
Interment was made in the family plot in Riverview cemetery.
