Hannah’s Early Years
Hannah and Eliakim Davis
Eliakim Davis was the son of Jabez Davis, who was the son of John "the Welshman" Davis of Derby, Connecticut and of Abigail Tibbals. Eliakim was born about 1740 in Connecticut and married Hannah Benedict in 1770. He passed away on May 18, 1776 in Danbury, Fairfield co., Connecticut, just ten days before his father, Jabez.
Jabez Davis was born July 24, 1703 at Derby, New Haven, Connecticut; married Elizabeth Taylor in about 1735, she was born about 1704; he died May 28, 1776 at Danbury, Fairfield co., Connecticut.
