William listed his ethnicity as "Irish" on the 1901 census. He evidently used his middle name "Arthur" as his given name, because he is listed as such in the 1911 census. His wife is listed as "Florence" and the following children as listed as members of the household: Isobell (21), Loran (18), John (16), Lexie (13) and Mary (10). Mary F. is listed on the 1901 census as born in 1890, but the age is blank, suggesting that either Mary F. was deceased at the time of the 1901 census, or the birth year was entered incorrectly. It is also of note that Alexandra, listed on both the 1901 and 1911 censuses (in 1911 as Lexie), is William's daughter.
