His father was born in the States and fled to Canada during the American Revolution, settling in the region of Fregericksburgh, Ontario.  Little is known of his mother, Katreen.

George who married   Elizabeth Sills, September 30 1806 in Lennox and Addington Daughter of John Conrad Sills & Sarah Blanchard was Abraham and Katreen's fifth child.  They lived first in Fredericksburgh Township and later in Sidney Township, and are buried in Longwell Cemetery.
Children of George and Elizabeth are John ,Joseph ,Jane, Polly ,Abraham G. ,Jacob Catherin ,George ,William J.
