Robert and Mary came over from Ireland to New Brunswick in May of 1840, bringing with them Margaret-Ann, Hugh and Prudence-Ann. The other children were born in Canada.

1. There is a record of a Mary Kirkpatrick arriving in 1834 in New Brunswick aboard the sailing brig, ""Robt. Burns".  See _New Brunswick, Canada, Passenger Lists: 1834_ on microfilm reel #F9798, Ancestry.com, Provo UT.  This is "an extraction of ship manifests for 20 ships arriving in New Brunswick, Canada in 1834."  Note: a Peter, Mary and a George Kirkpatrick are on the same manifest.
