Margaret Coleman Davidson was born February 20, 1846 in County Antrim, Ireland.  She was Irish Methodist. She emigrated to Canada in 1853 at the age of 7.

Margaret Davidson and John Smith were married in about 1870 in Bourg Louis, Quebec. They had 7 children between 1871 & 1881.  Husband John died in 1883 at the age of 38. In about 1930 Margaret married a second time. She married Matthew Johnston.  They lived in Manchester, New Hampshire.  In 1935 Margaret passed away in Manchester, New Hampshire at the age of 89.
