It is difficult to determine exactly all the children born to Anna Benedict and Elijah Davis due to the limited genealogical sources available for the early 1800's in English speaking, Lower Canada (now Quebec). However, given the span of child bearing years, and the time between the birth of her daughter Mary, and her son Edwin, it is quite probable that Anna Benedict had a number of children in that 20 years that have not yet been identified or found.

Anna’s Early Years
Anna and her parents left Connecticut sometime after her birth in 1786. The family made their way to Massachuetts by 1790, where Joshua's brother William was living, and then on to Vermont by 1792.
Anna and Elijah
Records indicate that Anna Benedict married Elijah Davis in Middle Hero, Vermont in 1805.
At some point before the birth of their daughter in 1808, Anna Benedict and husband Elijah Davis had made their way from Vermont to St. Andrews, Argenteuil County, Lower Canada. Further, records indicate that they were accompanied, on that move, by Anna's parent's, Joshua & Mary Benedict and her younger siblings.
As, in an affidavit found in Joshua Benedict's Revolutionary War Pension file, a friend of the family, Darius Center, living in Grand Isle, Vermont states that Anna & Elijah Davis and Anna's family moved to Grand River, Lower Canada. Now, where exactly Grand River was in Lower Canada is questionable but, the now Ottawa River, which runs by Argenteuil County, used to be called the Grand River.
Anna Benedict and husband Elijah show up on the 1851 & 1861 Canadian Census in St.Andrews, Argenteuil County, Quebec. Elijah was a Carpenter by profession.
Elijah Woods Davis died on 6 January 1864, in St. Andrew's, at age 81 years, 11 months. At the time of his death, Anna Benedict, his wife, was still living.
So far no death record for Anna Benedict has been found, neither has her nor Elijah's place of burial been found.
