CALEB, baptized Dec. 28, 1740; married Daborah St. John, January 28, 1760; married (2nd), Hannah Pennoyer, January, 1786, who died 1806; will proved March 26, 1806.  He died May 6, 1812.  Children all born at New Canaan.

NOTE: A Caleb Benedict appointed Town Clerk of Thurlow Township Hastings County, in 1803, served one year.Succeeded by Roswell Leavens who held the office three years
