Gideon’s Early Years
Gideon and Dorothy
Dorothy was the daughter of Samuel and Dorothy [Plum] Prindle of New Milford, Connecticut. She was born on January 19, 1706/7 and first married an Elnathan Botsford of New Milford on March 19, 1734 but apparently there were no children. Three years later, she married Gideon on April 11, 1737 and after his death, married a third time.
Dorothy and her brother Daniel were appointed administrators of Gideon's estate by the Probate Court of Woodbury

Dorothy died on Nov. 16, 1750.

Gideon's Final Years
Gideon lived near New Milford and paid 10
sh. a year to pass the toll gate. He died intestate on August 17, 1748.
According to early Connecticut records, Gideon died at the age of 38 or 39 at the hands of his father.
