BENEDICT, Robert Charles "Bob" - 83, Centreville, Kings Co. passed away Friday, August 4, 2006 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Russell and Thal Benedict. He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Donovan; sons, Brian (Hope), Canaan, Kings Co.; Lawrence (Dorothy), Berwick; his stepchildren, Gay Donovan, Centreville; Brian (Linda) Donovan, Sarnia, Ont.; Sheila (Chris) Chisholm, Dartmouth; Lynn Donovan (Ian Taylor), Hawaii; brothers, Austin (Ruth Smith), Wolfville; Paul (Bertha Jackson), Sydney River; Harold, Port Williams; sisters, Gertie Burtin, Sarnia; Isabel Hutchinson, Bedford; Pauline (Doug) Ogilvie, Sarnia; grandchildren, Denise Rand, Jason Benedict and Stephen Benedict; stepgrandchildren, Ann Leith, Lauren Emanuel, and James Donovan; great-grandchildren, Zachery, Amber and Tamara Rand, and Tenaya Benedict; step great-grandchildren, Jenna, Isabella and Cameron Emanuel. He was predeceased by his birth mother; brother, Don Benedict (Caledonia), and sister, Mary (Beazley) Kennedy (Hantsport). Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, August 6, in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. There will be no funeral service by family request. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
