- Samuel Benedict; b. 7 Jan 1778 in Sharon, Vermont; d. 1869. Married abt. 1815 to Eleanor Shatford, b. 1793; d. 1872; daughter of William and Eunice Shatford of Wolford. They had 7 children.
- Ezra Benedict; b. 15 Jan 1780 in Sharon, Vermont; d. 1854; Married in 1802 to Sarah Stockwell (b. 1779; d. 1850) and had 6 children. The family returned to Williamstown, Vermont.

Samuel Benedict and Mary Dibble
Mary, a daughter of John Dibble, was born September 28, 1746 and died August 24, 1825.
In 1771, Samuel married Mary and they resided at Sharon, Vermont where all the children were raised. He was there in 1780. See

They settled in Hull City and South Hull in 1801
1. Samuel owned 600 acres along Mountain Road. He first built a shack, then a fine residence in 1805. See Anson A. Guard's 1906 publication
1. In September, 1972, a bronze commemorative plaque was unveiled on the old farm by two, sixth generation descendents of Samuel and Mary, Mary-Louise Benedict (age 16) and Brenda
McKay? (age 14). Mr. Philip
McDougall? Veale, married to a Benedict descendant, of the Historical Society of the Gatineau, and the National Capital Commission, jointly initiated the memorial.
