Benedicts to America, Vol I, Pg 8049. AMBROSE5 (Joseph,4 Joseph,3 John,2 Thomas1), was a drummer 7th Co., Drake's (2d) Regt., 1777, in the Revolution. Received 600 acres of land in Homer, as a state gratuity for full term of service, 3 years. He came to Ridgefield from So. Salem, with his wife Amy (Seward?). Ch.
