William had only one child, by Alma Jane Rows.  Ethel May Benedict was born on   Dec. 11, 1896 at St. Vincent twp., Grey county; her death date is unknown.  

She married first, John Bell on April 16, 1913 in Gore Bay, Manitoulin District, Ontario. John was born in 1890, the son of Angus Bell and Isabel Bailey. He died on August 27, 1914 and is buried in Lot 21, Conc. 4 Burpee twp., Manitoulin District, Ontario. 

Alma was married a second time, to John Burns.

DEATH OF SARAH ANN "BALLARD" (JERRY) BENEDICT; ---Entered into Rest at Meaford on Sunday Morning, April 25th 1948 Sarah Ann Jerry, wife of the late William Wesley Benedict, in her 81st year. Service will be held at the Gardiner Funeral Chapel, Syke Street, Meaford, on Wednesday afternoon, 28th instant at 2:30 o'clock. Resting at the Chapel. Interment Lakeview Cemetery.

DEATH OF WILLIAM WESLEY BENEDICT; --- On Friday afternoon the death of William Wesley Benedict occured in his 83rd year. He was born in St. Vincent, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Benedict, and was twice married. Soon after his first marriage to Jane Rows, Mr. and Mrs. Benedict went to Manitoulin Island to live, where he remained for about forty years, returning to this locality following the death of his wife. Later, he married Mrs. Annie Ballard, who survives, along with one daughter, Mrs. !MacMichael of Toronto. Two brothers, Herbert of Meaford, and Albert of Owen Sound and three sisters, Mrs. Reg Emary and Miss Caroline Benedict and Mrs Ben Vail of Toronto also survive. A brother, Charles Benedict and one sister Susan, are Deceased.
The funeral service was conducted by Miss Nellie South and Mr. Samuel Shaw (undenominational) at the Gardiner Funeral Chapel on Monday afternoon. Interment was made at Duxbury's Cemetery. The pall-bearers were the neighbors: Charles Benedict, Roy Benedict,Sydenham, Roy Benedict, Owen Sound, Gordon Benedict, Melville Vail and Frank Emary.
