Thomasís Early Years

Thomas emigrated from Scotland as a 5 year old with his parents and family in 1844. He grew up on the family farm located on Lot 22, Concession 6 of Seymour Township in Northumberland County, Ontario. The 1861 census records show him in Innisfil Township, Simcoe County, and the 1871 census shows him back in Seymour Township as unmarried and working as a labourer.

Thomas and Janet

Thomas married Janet Arnold on 24 Dec 1873. They purchased a 100 acres farm on Lot 22 south, Concession 9 of Seymour Township on 01 Mar 1875 where they lived until selling it on 01 Nov 1910.
